San Francisco has been home for since 2010.

The Bay area, its grand city we've embraced & cherished. Despite having spent decades abroad, with international airports feeling like a second home. Living across various countries has strengthened my perspective on the world & my faith in humanity. Undoubtedly, my experiences have shaped me into an optimist & a creative soul.

circulations for images from a festive start-of-summer weekend on Friday Nights on Main, the Wooden Boat Show and Belvedere Concerts in the Park.

May 2025; 2024 California Journalism Association awarded Ted McDonnell First Place for Feature Photograph & Photojournalism a Forth Place for Public Service Journalism and a Fifth place for Photo Story-Essay (division 7)

June 2026 / 2025 The Ark won second place for Photojournalism at the California Journalism Association based on images captured by contributing photographers Leo Leung, Ted McDonnell, Tyler Callister and Clara Lu,
